Ensemble Dance Works (Faculty Concert 2018)

DRAFT #1 OF TECH/PRODUCTION SCHEDULE      4/2/18

 

Spacing Days:  light designers and dancers if you are not in the first piece being lit, please arrive one hour before your spacing/tech in case we are running early.  Dancers are not required to be in the theatre if they are not spacing/teching but you MUST be nearby in case we run early.

Tech days: Dancers- all dancers are called to warm up on all tech days.  Warm up is mandatory for everyone in the show. If you miss warm up, it is up to the faculty discretion whether or not you will dance in the show that day.  Please be prepared to stay until you are dismissed by your last choreographer.

NOTE:  Bring water and snacks during tech & spacing rehearsals, but food is NOT allowed in the theater.

Monday April 23:

5:00 Call for Dancers and Dance Production Class

5:00-6:00 Company warm up in 207 (warm up leader TBA).

6pm Call for Crew - Company meeting with stage managers in house, stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, costumes & props in place

6:30-10:30 Tech First Half of Show

10:30  NOTES on stage for crew and dancers.  Dancers/crew check/clean dressing rooms, hang costumes. NOTE:  Times based on length/size of pieces.  If possible we run ahead of schedule, however, sometimes we run behind. Please be patient and flexible.

 

Tuesday April 24:

5:00 Call for Dancers and Dance Production Class

5:00-6:00 Company warm up in 207 (warm up leader TBA).

6pm Call for Crew - Company meeting with stage managers in house, gel assignments given out

Stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, gels for 1st piece in booms, sets in place

6:30-10:00 Tech Second Half of Show

10:00  NOTES on stage for crew and dancers.  Dancers/crew check/clean dressing rooms, hang costumes. NOTE:  Times based on length/size of pieces.  If possible we run ahead of schedule, however, sometimes we run behind. Please be patient and flexible.

 

Wednesday April 25:

4:00 Call for Dancers Dancers NOTE: make up for photo shoot

4:00-5:00 Company warm up in 207 (warm up - TBA).

5:00 Call for Dance Production Class and light board operator for photo shoot, pull up lights

5:30 -7:00 PHOTO SHOOT (Choreographers pre-set up to 4 poses for photos. We will need a lighting designer available to set lights for shoot. Dancers be ready to move rapidly through this with fast turn around costume changes. We will do photoshoot in reverse order.)

6:00 Call for Theatre Crew

7:00 Stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, pre-set props & quick changes

7:30 TECH REHEARSAL of show:  (PHOTO SHOOT continues through run)

After tech: All dancers and crew on stage for notes.

 

Thursday April 26:

5:00 Call for Dancers

6:00 Call for Theatre Crew and Dance Production Class

5:30-6:30 Company warm up on stage (warm up leader TBA).

6:30-7:30 Stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, pre-set props & quick changes

7:30 DRESS REHEARSAL

After dress: All dancers and crew on stage for notes.

 

Friday April 27 and Saturday April 28: Karen

5:00 Call for Dancers

6:00 Call for Theatre and House Crew, Dance Production Class

5:30-6:30 Company warm up on stage (warm up leader TBA).

6:30-7:00 Stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, pre-set props & quick changes

7:30 EVENING CONCERT

 

Sunday April 29: 

11:00 Call for Dancers

12:00 Call for Theatre and House Crew, Dance Production Class

11:30-12:30 Company warm up on stage (warm up leader TBA).

12:30-1:00 Stage clear for sound/light check, mop floor, pre-set props & quick changes

1:30 MATINEE CONCERT

STRIKE SHOW:  NOTE ALL DANCERS & CREW MEET ON STAGE 20 MINUTES AFTER CURTAIN FOR ROLL CALL AND STRIKE.

 

Tech Schedule:  I will send out and post any updated copies of the tech schedule to http://www.udtdance.info/production-class-info/.

 

Wardrobe and Deck Crew – you are required to stay for notes.  We give notes at the end of the run.  Do not leave until you are dismissed by the Production Manager, Toni Valle.

 

Dance Production Class and Dancers –Be prepared to stay until everything is cleaned up, including the dressing rooms. Also heads up on the photoshoot on Wednesday, 5:30pm.

 

Tickets:  All tickets must be bought at the box office.
