Fall 2016 UDT Officers

President : Ariel Montemayor
Ariel Montemayor was born in Houston, Texas. She received an Associates of Arts at San Jacinto College where she studied under Diane Bedford and Dr. Patricia Haselbarth. Ariel is currently studying for her Bachelor’s of Arts in dance at the University of Houston School of Theater and Dance. She has performed with pre professional dance companies: San Jac Dance Pac and the UH Ensemble. She has also performed professionally for Houston Contemporary artists Mary and Stephen Magsamen and as a guest with Karen Stokes Dance Company. Ariel also finds interest in production sets. She has worked as a Stage Manager for Frenticore and worked sound for the Vault Houston. After graduation Ariel plans to work for the Arts in schools, or stage management for Houston companies.

Vice President : Hasina Sadiwala
Hasina Sadiwala is working towards a BA in Dance at University of Houston. She has danced ever since she was little but didn't join a professional dance company until she came to America 11 years ago. She was on the Kempner High School Brigade dance team for one year. Hasina has also been trained in Bollywood in Mumbai, India and earned an opportunity to perform on stage with a well known singer. She has been qualified in Bollywood, Hip hop, and modern dance. Hasina has taught to groups of all ages at Naach Houston Inc., a Bollywood-based dance company. She is currently part of the UH Ensemble for the second year in a row. Hasina wants to own a studio and instill her knowledge in future generations.
Secretary : Anissa Trevino
Anissa Trevino was born in Houston, Texas. She received her Associates degree in Art from San Jacinto College under the direction of Diane Bedford and Jaime Williams. She attended ACDA  in the spring of 2014 and danced at Kirkwood Dance studio for 4 Years. She is currently at the University of Houston earning her degree in Dance and minor in Education. Her future aspirations are to become a drill director for the high school level and open a dance studio. She likes to spend time with family at home and her dog, Layla. She also enjoys reading and watching the Harry Potter saga.

Social Media : Rachel Redding
Rachel is a Sophomore at UH. This is her second year in the dance program and first year as a UDT officer. Her mom put her in ballet and creative movement classes in pre-school and she's been dancing ever since! Rachel has danced all over Houston at studios such as Houston Met, City Dance, and Soundbox. She was the President of Lamar Dance Theater in high school and enjoys going back to teach there. Rachel's favorite style of dance is modern/contemporary.
